Clean Sweep at Awards

Tectoniks have achieved a clean sweep at this year’s IFAI International Achievement Awards winning both the Award of Excellence and the Outstanding Achievement Award in the air structures category.

The award ceremony took place at IFAI Expo 2009 at the San Diego Convention Center on September 24. The awards received over 400 entries from 17 different countries and were judged by a diverse panel of architects, industry experts, editors, educators and design professionals. Judging was based on complexity, design, workmanship, uniqueness and function.

The Award of Excellence went to the 35 metre dome we created for the South Hook LNG inauguration (www.tectoniks.com/news.php?item=24) and our 21 metre span portable aircraft hangar (www.tectoniks.com/gallery.php ) won the Outstanding Achievement Award.
